One of the most common skin conditions that may be affecting you is dry skin. You can have dry skin all over your body or you may just have patches of dry skin in areas like the face, neck, hands, and legs.It is possible to transform dry skin into a healthy skin by natural home remedies.
Dry, red, and flaky skin, also called dermatitis, can result from seasonal temperature changes, an allergy or a medical condition. Home remedies are a beneficial first step in treating dry, red, and flaky skin and may alleviate the problem if your case is mild. Following are some remedies for dry skin patches.
Home Remedies to Cure Dry Skin Patches on Face
Drink plenty of water to help hydrate all areas of the body, including the dry skin patches.
Cleanse your skin with cooler water. Hot water dries the skin and leaves you without the natural moisturizing effect of your own skin oils. Using exfoliating skin scrubs when you do bathe will loosen flaking skin and give you a deep down cleaning that helps eliminate dry skin. Do not scrub the skin excessively as this could lead to skin irritation.
Apply a cream-based moisturizer daily to lock in the skin's much needed moisture. Moisturizers come in varieties for every skin type. Moisturizers should not contain perfumes or dyes if you suffer from sensitive skin, while oily skin types should avoid oil-based moisturizers.
Aloe vera supplies your skin with the moisture that it craves, particularly during cold, dry winter months. Applying aloe vera to your dry skin patches several times a day until they fade. To use the gel from an aloe plant, cut off one leaf at the base of the stem with a sharp knife. Squeeze the gel from inside the leaf into your palm and rub it gently into your dry skin. If you don't have access to an aloe vera plant, the aloe vera gel available at drugstores works just as well.
Apply olive oil to a dry skin patch to moisturize it and return it to a smoother state. Rub the olive oil into damp skin. Using cold-pressed olive oil since it has the highest amount of nutrients; processing the oil with heat damages the nutrients in oil. Olive oil is greasier and takes more time to absorb into the skin than lotion or ointment moisturizers, but olive oil is more effective at trapping in moisture. Mix the olive oil with a little sea salt to exfoliate the dead skin from the dry skin patch.
Cover your face with a scarf when you are outside in colder climates, and wear a hat that can shade your face during the hotter months. Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. The sun's rays will damage the skin on your face even further. Wear loose-fitting clothing that will not aggravate dry skin.
Hot air can exacerbate dry skin, making flaking worse. To combat this, run a portable humidifier throughout your home. Or, have one professionally attached to your furnace. A humidifier increases the moisture content in the air, soothing sensitive skin. Choose a variety that works for your budget and needs. Just be sure to clean it properly to prevent the spread of fungi or bacteria.

To qualify as a working coupon, the link or code must provide a discount above and beyond what's freely available by default on the vendor's site.
To check this, first click the link and check that the coupon can be applied and does provide the discount described. Then, in a different browser, open the vendor's site (without using the Knoji link) and check whether that same discount is available to any user by default. If it's not, and the coupon works, then you've found a qualified coupon and can verify it and get your earnings. If not, you can verify that it does not work (explain why this is) and you'll earn a smaller credit.
Don't waste your time verifying invalid coupons! Before you receive payment, all your verifications will be reviewed, and if they are invalid, you earnings will be deleted. Verify only valid coupons in order to receive payment for this project.
